Our Legacy

For our family, it's the continuation of a legacy that reaches back generations.

Long before we ever dreamed of owning businesses ourselves, Grandpa Jim and Grandma Rhonda spent decades building a reputation that couldn't be bought with advertising.

It was earned through honesty, hard work, faith, craftsmanship, and treating every customer like family.

After Grandma Rhonda passed away, Grandpa Jim continued working because serving people wasn't simply what he did—it was who he was.

Even into his seventies he could still be found climbing ladders, repairing heating and cooling systems, solving difficult problems, and helping customers who depended on him.

Those simple words taught us that experience, patience, and integrity solve more problems than rushing ever will.

Later, Zach and Stephanie began making regular trips to Southern Indiana to spend time helping Grandpa.

Alongside Grandpa Jim and Dad, they cleaned properties, repaired equipment, worked commercial HVAC jobs, and learned the trade one job at a time.

Together they served churches, Marathon gas stations, farmer's markets, China buffets, Mexican restaurants, commercial facilities, and residential customers.

During those years Stephanie learned the business side of HVAC directly from Grandpa—preparing estimates, quoting jobs, serving customers, organizing the business, and learning how a family company should treat people.

Meanwhile Zach continued pursuing formal education, earning an Associate of Applied Science degree in HVAC from Ivy Tech Community College and becoming EPA Universal Certified.

Today those two paths come together.

Traditional experience passed down through generations. Combined with modern education. Combined with faith. Combined with a desire to serve Northwest Indiana.

Today Zach and Stephanie live in Northwest Indiana with their two hunting dogs, Shadow and Lexi.

They continue volunteering at a faith-based recovery home, encouraging men and women from across the United States to continue walking with Christ, overcome addiction, and build a better future.

Stephanie now operates SS Cleaning Solutions of Indiana, Lee's Heating & Cooling, and the family's growing businesses while Zach continues serving customers and helping carry the vision Grandpa always believed in.

We're creating something new for Northwest Indiana—not by forgetting where we came from, but by building upon the foundation laid by Grandpa Jim, Grandma Rhonda, Dad, and the generations before them.

Their faith, hard work, honesty, craftsmanship, and love for serving others continue to shape every decision we make today.

Together, Grandpa Jim, Grandma Rhonda, Dad, and the generations before them taught us that a good reputation isn't built through advertising.

It's built one customer at a time.

It's an opportunity to carry forward the lessons passed down to us by Grandpa Jim, Grandma Rhonda, Dad, and the generations before them.

And with God's help, that's exactly what we intend to do.
